Warranty Policy

Warranty Policy

  1. Warranty Overview

Harts Gun & Optics sells products from multiple manufacturers. Most product warranties are provided by the original manufacturer and are subject to that manufacturer’s warranty terms, limitations, registration requirements, repair procedures, and exclusions.

Unless a separate written warranty is provided by Harts Gun & Optics for a specific product or service, Harts Gun & Optics does not create an additional product warranty beyond the manufacturer’s warranty.

  1. Manufacturer Warranty Support

If a product appears defective, customers should contact Harts Gun & Optics so we can help determine the next best step. Depending on the item and the issue, we may assist with troubleshooting, provide manufacturer contact information, help locate warranty documentation, or direct the customer to the manufacturer’s warranty process.

Some manufacturers require customers to contact them directly for warranty inspection, repair, replacement, or return authorization.

  1. What May Be Covered

Manufacturer warranties may cover defects in materials or workmanship under normal lawful use. Coverage depends on the manufacturer and product type. Examples may include:

  • Defective electronics or illumination systems.
  • Manufacturing defects in optics, mounts, or accessories.
  • Defective adjustment turrets, lenses, housings, or mechanical components.
  • Factory defects discovered before installation or use.
  1. What Is Generally Not Covered

Warranty coverage generally does not apply to:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
  • Damage from misuse, neglect, abuse, improper storage, improper installation, or improper maintenance. Damage from unauthorized modification, disassembly, repair, or alteration.
  • Damage caused by incompatible firearms, ammunition, mounts, rings, torque settings, tools, batteries, chargers, or accessories.
  • Damage from accidents, impact, water intrusion beyond product rating, heat, chemicals, fire, theft, loss, or improper shipping.
  • Products used unlawfully or outside manufacturer instructions.
  1. Installation and Gunsmithing Disclaimer

Optics, mounts, firearm parts, and accessories must be installed correctly. Some products require specific tools, torque specifications, thread lockers, leveling procedures, or fitment checks. Harts Gun & Optics is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, over-tightening, under-tightening, cross-threading, incompatible parts, unsafe firearm condition, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions.
