Return Policy
- Return Window
Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery, unless the product page, checkout notice, manufacturer policy, or this Return Policy states otherwise. Returned products must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, clean, complete, and in original packaging with all manuals, accessories, tools, labels, and included parts.
- Return Authorization Required
All returns require prior written authorization from Harts Gun & Optics. To request a return, email support@hartsgunandoptics.com with your order number, product name, reason for return, and photos if the product is damaged or defective. We will provide return instructions if the return is eligible.
Unauthorized returns may be refused, delayed, returned to sender, or processed at the customer’s expense.
- Items That Are Not Returnable
The following items are generally not eligible for return:
- Used, installed, mounted, modified, damaged, scratched, painted, altered, or incomplete products. • Products missing original packaging, manuals, accessories, parts, UPCs, or serial numbers. • Special order items, clearance items, closeout items, final sale items, or custom ordered products.
- Electronic optics, thermal optics, night vision, batteries, chargers, or electronic accessories once opened or used, unless defective and approved for warranty handling.
- Ammunition, primers, powder, hazardous materials, or loaded magazines if those items are ever offered. • Firearms, serialized parts, lower receivers, suppressors, or NFA items if those items are ever offered. • Gift cards, downloadable products, or digital products.
- Products restricted by law, carrier rule, manufacturer rule, or safety concern.
- Condition of Returned Products
Returned products are inspected after arrival. If an item is not in the required condition, Harts Gun & Optics may reject the return, charge a restocking fee, deduct missing or damaged item costs, issue partial store credit, or return the item to the customer at the customer’s expense.
- Restocking Fee
Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15 percent. Restocking fees may be waived for verified fulfillment errors or defective on arrival items approved by Harts Gun & Optics.
- Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a verified Harts Gun & Optics fulfillment error or a defective on arrival item approved by Harts Gun & Optics. Original shipping charges are not refundable unless required by law or approved by Harts Gun & Optics.
- Refund Timing
Refunds are issued to the original payment method when possible after the returned item is received and inspected. Refund processing times vary by payment provider and bank. Shipping costs, route protection fees, insurance fees, expedited processing fees, and other nonrefundable costs may be excluded from the refund where allowed by law.
- Exchanges
Exchanges may be allowed for eligible products depending on inventory availability. If the replacement item costs more than the original item, the customer must pay the difference before shipment. If it costs less, the difference may be refunded or issued as store credit.
- Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, missing items, or includes the wrong item, contact us within 3 business days of delivery. Keep all packaging, labels, and included materials. Photos may be required. Failure to report an issue promptly may limit available remedies.
